this week i am taking a break
from giving my latest hot take
there's a party, you see
and it's the place to be
and i'll be there from arvo 'til late

cuba street is the spot this weekend
to put all your blues on the mend
you can sing, you can dance
and i'll bet there's no chance
that your glumness will stick 'til the end

there are bands, there are drinks, and there's food
but there's one thing that i wanna do
and it's see all my friends
then ride home at the end
with a smile 'cause i'm in a good mood
